If you are busy in your mind, have anxious thoughts or experience stress, grounding can help.
Grounding helps you to be in the here-and-now with your attention. To get out of your head and into your body.
We are literally and figuratively (again) with both feet on the ground.
The earth represents solidity and security. The solid foundation on which we walk.
There are several ways to ground, for example:
-walking barefoot
-wearing something red (red is the color of the root chakra)
-gardening
-walking in nature
-foot massage
-a shower
And as promised, here’s a meditation for grounding. This meditation helped me a lot during my burnout: I got the feeling as if my body was slowly expanding and merging with the earth. A special experience!
